Our Shea Butter is extracted from the Karite (Shea) Nut using traditional West African methods that do not utilize chemicals during processing. It is not blended with any other fixed oils so you can receive the highest concentration of healing and moisturizing benefits that can only come from traditionally processed, unrefined Shea Butter.
Because this Shea Butter is not blended with other oils it should arrive to you as a solid butter. Shea Butter will melt easily when applied to your skin but the entire jar can be softened by leaving it in a place that is slightly warmer than room temperature or very gently heating in the microwave.
